“Show me a model” What did I mean by that?
Sorry, being sarcastic doesn’t work on email or in real life.

All the words about the federalist papers, global climate change, psychological processes, finally wore me down. I would like someone to reference a model in their post and how that will support K12 students. Just like Louis Macovsky asked.

For example, a psychological process can be modeled and used with K12 students. First, introduce them to basic bathtub model then add a goal. The bathtub is renamed “Self-esteem.” The inflow is “Affirmations” and the outflow is “Self-Talk”. There is a parameter called “Target Self-esteem” that compared to “Self-esteem” increases or decreases the outflow to keep the “Self-esteem” coming back to the “Target Self-esteem.”

Hmmm, well, my model is wrong, just like all models, but might be useful for having a discussion with students and teachers. Educators have been taught that positive affirmations improve a student’s self-esteem. My model suggests there is no change in self-esteem.

Richard
