I am absolutely convinced it can. Unfortunately, I do not have the background in systems that most subscribers to this list serve have. I'm working from the information I've gleaned from reading all of Bohm's books, participating in the online Bohm dialogue group for several years, coupled with Fifth Discipline, and a remrkable, now deceased teacher at NYU, and Dalcroze Eurhythmics. Bohm led me to Systems.

Absolutely essential to it is non-fragmentation, pattern and relationships to whole (structures) which Bohm termed 'enfolded'. One of the biggest failings in music education today is the idea of musical structure, and how the parts fit the whole. And for me, improvisation needs to be there. It is a doing, a process, not a 'thing'.

I will try to put it in some kind of systems terms, if someone can point me towards a basic place to start, some kind of model, I'll be happy to try. Maybe someone would like to collaborate with me on this?

I'm delighted that someone else sees it, too. KA
