I stole this idea from Ron Zaraza- "Sometimes good teaching means 'bad'
modeling" (e.g. hidden converters). Sorry folks, it's true (as long as one is prepared to unfurl the hidden logic as appropriate), in k-12 education we don't have all day and a captive audience of graduate students. :-)
