The newest version of STELLA allows drawing a diagram map without showing the circular component shape. Or, if you have an actual model, STELLA will identify the single causal loops in the model. There is a feedback loop tool at the interface level. The Vensim software is a full modeling software also but draws very nice causal loops for those who do not want to define the equations in each component. There may be other non ST/SD software that would work as well - those packages that are good for drawing org charts, etc.
