It may be relatively "easy" to scale the stories, and cascade them (for lack of a better way of describing it). So, imagine your "personalsphere" is the first, then ask students to aggregate themselves into a "classroomsphere", then to a "buildingsphere", and on you go. I think (without ever having tired it) that it would be helpful in leading students from the actions of one (and the tendency to say, "but what difference could one person make?") to the actions of many.
