Dear List,

I would like to set out some ground rules that I think are reasonable for the list. I would be happy to have a discussion, on the list or individually, with anyone who would like to contribute to the discussion of what ground rules we should use.

1. If you are answering an individual, please answer individually, and don't post to the list.
2. The language of the list is English, so please, if you are having a conversation in another language, have it off the list.
3. Please limit the number of posts within a day or even keep track over a week ( a behavior-over-time graph?) and only add to the conversation if you have something new to say or something you feel will be germane to a number of people. We are trying not to fill up everyone's e-mail boxes so that they want to unsubscribe.
4. If you wish to confront someone, please don't, even individually. If you would like to challenge assumptions or statements, please do so tactfully with a full acknowledgement of the mental models you are working with.

Thank you all for the interesting and stimulating discussions. Let's see if we can keep that element going without individuals dominating or sending an overwhelming number of e-mails.
