Can you be more specific of problem imposed from "outside the system." To what system are you referring? Systems are nested within other systems.

Can you also be more specific about the term "critical pedagogy" in your subject heading. Are you talking about the field of critical pedagogy, teaching critical thinking, or something else? Critical pedagogy has specific theories and meanings derived from the writings of Freire, Macedo, Giroux, McLaren, Apple, Shor, Weiler, Gore etc.? Freire has been so domesticated and mis-taught in this country I am never quite sure how people are using the terminology.
