Quote about Systems
Posted by Richard Turnock on 11/12/2011
Article seems to say that there is a "natural" cause for inequality and unfair income and wealth distribution in society. Is there already, has someone done this, a dynamic model or systems thinking archetype for the 80/20 rule? He seems to be describing an exponential curve. But what are the cause/effect relationships, the flows and accumulations?
"The maths underlying the 80/20 rule, known as the power law distribution, is found in many natural systems over which no single human has much influence. Its concentration of the extremes seems built into the fabric of complex systems that depend on numerous factors that continually change .....*".
