Fascinating idea, this one.

I will say that I pondered keeping my model at a single teacher and a single student notion, but discarded the idea. Walk into a school, any school, there are students and teachers everywhere, though teachers are not working together, except in the most remote clerical sort of way - budgets, broad curricular plans, etc.

A school model based on the improvement must include the elements that recent research in organizational change and cognitive psychology. That means the model has to include teachers as teams. In the model currently on the table, that section needs some teasing out to capture the whole of that idea. I'm still not sure how to do that, but everyone has been generous with ideas.
