From a survey used in Oregon the two statements below were used to get people's opinions.

What if the two statements below were given to high school students and
they were asked to debate the merits of each position?
Maybe as a capstone project?

The constraints might be that they had to
1. build a dynamic model and present it to (or work with) an expert/professional
2. develop causal loops and present them to a non-expert audience
3. write a one or two page report
4. build a poster with the results of the prior activities for display

Statement A: Increases Necessary
Increases in business and corporate taxes are necessary to provide vital
public services that help stimulate the economy.

Statement B: Diminishes Business
Increases in business and corporate taxes will diminish business
investments, limit job creation, and ultimately reduce the amount of taxes
generated to fund public services.
