These are grade school students (10, 11 year olds) doing high school (16, 17 year olds) mathematics. The learning rates using these methods are very high, with low forgetting rates due to heavy classroom practice/feedback over several years. I've seen this in a classroom and have used some of their techniques in 1-to-1 tutoring situations with great results.
