I know that Woodstock Day School in Woodstock NY is using this system.
Their website is www.woodstockdayschool.org. I am planning on enrolling my 5 yr. old son in the summer program - It appeals to me because it seems like a more integrated systems oriented approach. The public schools in the area are very traditional. Th environment seems to be one where the kids are going someplace everyday to interact with other kids and participate in interesting projects (many of which are interdisciplinary and/or between age groups) rather than 'going to school'. This is an impression from an open house and talking with a couple of the teachers. I will have a better feel for it after the summer program.

The tribes webpage is www.tribes.com. There are several references there, including many by Gibbs. I'm also interested to hear from anyone who might have some first hand experience with this system.
