Rob Quaden and I (Alan Ticotsky) are presenting a workshop at the National Science Teachers Association (NSTA) conference in Boston Thursday, March 27, 2008. The title of the workshop is "Using Graphs and Diagrams with Life Science Activities." We will show how we employ behavior over time graphs and simple causal loop diagrams with students in grades 5 and up to help them understand complex relationships in nature. No previous experience in system dynamics (or life science, for that matter) is necessary to attend.
We drew the opening workshop time period, 8 AM to 9 AM, and the room number is 160C in the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center. If you are in Boston for the conference, please feel free to attend the workshop or come by to say hello.
