That is a very interesting idea, Jay. No one has proposed that before. Let me see what we can do along those lines. I think that is quite possible.

I am confused by your statement "If a bank balance cannot go negative, then one can continue to pay out money from an account that should be in default." This does not happen in STELLA. When the balance hits zero in a non-negative stock, nothing else is paid out as in a standard first-order control. I do, however, see your point that banks will sometimes overdraw a checking account, making the balance negative.

I am also curious about what some of the "several other reasons" are. I think you will find that we more than listen to the feedback from our customers, and try to do what is both consistent with what they are trying to accomplish and supports our long-term vision of spreading System Dynamics to as many people as possible.

Thank you very much for taking the time to explain your point of view so clearly. It is very helpful to understand these issues with the software.
