SD and critical pedagogy

The current unraveling of the global “financial ecology” provides an excellent opportunity for study of “free will” operating in a system whose essential logic might be termed “dollar discipline” (dollar is meant here in a generic sense; that unit of currency was selected for alliterative reasons as well as for its central role in present developments).
Returning to today’s Boston Globe, below is a link to a 'case study', from page 1, of a bank run. This clause particularly caught my attention in light of recent discussion in this forum: “While the withdrawal of deposits was happening person by person and account by account...”
Each individual operated (with considerable alacrity in many instances) independently but in accord with dollar discipline. The cumulative effect of their actions could be, and doubtless was, calculated to the penny.
