Funny you should mention change.gov. I just submitted a document to the Obama-Biden Transition Team, as described at www.thwink.org. I feel the SD community has untapped potential here. The new administration shows all the signs of being sharp and open minded toward new ideas, such as those SD could provide.

On your observation about the gap between 5 million jobs and what's
needed: It could be that the administration is not seeking to fill the entire gap with new green jobs.
