Subject: Stocks and Flows

There are obvious examples in two related components, which is the stock and which is the flow. However, in some cases it depends on your point of view. Consider stock and flows on moving:

when accellaration is the flow, then velocity is the stock
when distance is the stock, then velocity is the flow

Consider stock and flows on percipitation:

when the water in the river is the flow, then water in the lake is the stock
when raining is the flow, then water in the river is the stock (after some delay).

Does somebody else have additional examples, where one component might take a flow or a stock position?
