The late Barry Richmond was a wonderful link between system dynamicists and K-12 educators. A print version of his book An Introduction to Systems Thinking came bundled with STELLA software in the 1990s and I found myself returning to it often. Barry presented the elements of modeling as analogous to spoken or written language that we use to tell stories. The text of the book may be downloaded from iSee Systems. The Creative Learning Exchange also has some of Barry’s shorter pieces, which I also highly recommend.
