The high school I work at is Moodle-based; every course, every assignment, and many tests/quizzes are done on-line. I have only one assignment per year that students turn in on paper. We have a couple of powerful tinkerers on staff so I am never sure what is standard and what is special to this school, but our version will do just about anything you can ask. I do not have a text; all my sources are on line; if school closes because of snow, we give the students one day off, and then use the chat or forum functions for distance learning.
I am certainly not tech savvy; without the support crew here I would be a babe-lost-in-the-woods, but I can no longer imagine not having Moodle.
