Hello Zachary,

Could you unpack the loop Academic Progress [D,-] > Academic Pressure [+] > Skill Deficits [-] > Academic Progress. I read this reinforcing loop as:

As Academic Progress increases, after a delay, Academic Pressure decreases; as Academic Pressure decreases, Skill Deficits likewise decrease (assumes that the Academic Standards parameter has not changed, and for now will ignore what happens when it does); as Skill Deficits decrease, Academic Progress increases. What is your thinking around a decrease in Academic Pressure leading to a decrease in Skill Deficits?

Side note: as a general rule, variable names should be neutral when possible; so, rather than Skill Deficits, try using Skills, and reconsider the loop links. I think the strict equivalent of your loop would be:

Academic Progress [D,-] > Academic Pressure [-] > Skills [+] > Academic Progress, which still seems problematic to me.

Regards,

Bill Braun
