I added labels to the models on the page as per Karl's suggestion. I also changed "skill deficits" to "skill gap", because I think that better describes the idea I was going for. As Academic Progress increases, Academic Pressure decreases, and this is where I'm exploring the relationship between pressure and the skill gap. The two have a parallel relationship, but which direction should the arrow go? Or do they create their own little reinforcing loop? That section of the model feels correct, but you're right, when we think about the interaction between academic pressure and the skill gap, the concept becomes less clear. As I created it, I pictured academic pressure decreasing which reduced the perceived need to address the skill gap - this may not be the same as the gap itself. I wonder if I shouldn't just remove the academic portion of the model altogether.
