Good point. Yes, I think a link from Mum's approval to self-approval is needed. Or even, if it turns out to be relevant, an inflow to self-approval which is conditioned by Mum's approval.

I'm afraid I don't have time to continue work on this - I really did it to set a ball rolling. I'm including the Stella (version -x.0) model in case anyone feels like taking it further.
