Absolutely no argument from me on that! I'm a 30 year veteran of the NYC public school system's administrator infighting. Directly experienced it on many levels. Consequetly, it seems to me that the desire for power, and the pleasure of exercising it outweighs other values for too many. Strokes the ego. Tends to put many who think they are in some kind of supervisory position, as well as those who aspire to it, in line with those values.

So the question becomes - what kind of wakeup? Tailor-made for the person? Critical thinking & knowledge of systems? And who will do this? Fear of reprisal silences many. The need to be "one of the crowd" silences others. But what crowd?
