Hello:

I am a career public school educator and I concur with Nancy's statement, " My sense is that teachers generally do not have time to read journals. " Although, in regards to departments, many teacher belong to national associations that produce journals that do get read; National Association of Mathematics Teachers, Science...
English...etc...

Getting connected to one of those associations will get the attention of a large portion of teachers.

Also, I am extremely interested in exploring the idea of teaching systems thinking in public education and perhaps even more interested in systems thinking applied to public education as a system in general. I will be starting my doctorate in school improvement and I plan to use systems thinking as part of my thesis on school improvement. I am open to suggestions and tips.
