Dear All,
I doubt if SD is more acceptable or accepted in Asia. Asians are busy learning what Westerners have been developing in terms of technology, methods, etc (non-SD vs. SD way of thinking).
Asian people immediately understand the SD with easy, but I doubt SD will prevail in Asia because you have to think, act, analyze in non-SD way to be successful. An example?, during the Cultural Revolution in China, traditions had been considered as things to be thrown away (by the way, I'm Korean-American).
As an irony, many Westerners are interested in Eastern thinking such as Buddhism; however, most Asian countries are developing in terms of politics, economy, democracy, etc and many Westerners are disappointed and are at a loss when they face the corruption, living status, etc.
I found that many people are really scared and worried because what China are doing is to follow what Westerners have been doing (in a negative sense); unlimited growth in industrial development, lack of concern on pollution, natural resources, environmental disaster, etc.
I know that people in SD are puzzled by the lack of acceptance of SD. I think we (System Dynamist) have to be more patient and work harder because we are trying to reverse things that have been ongoing more than several hundread years. Typically, time is considered unidirectional in Western culture: past--> present--> future. Bible says the God created the universe and there will be a judgment day. Big bang theory is just another manifestation of Western thinking. SD is trying to change the unidirectional thinking, a huge task.
