Great description of a learning environment. As Sir Ken Robinson says in his 2010 TED video, we should stop using linear, conformity, batch, industrial age education model and start using an agriculture metaphor. He has a very humorous talk. As a retired adult, I have quiet time to think and imagine, I have the power of the Internet to communicate with many more people than ever before and I don’t have to go to meetings. I don’t have to be told by a manager what to do all the time (my wife would disagree on that last one). How many young people under the age of say, 30, have the same opportunity or way of thinking like Chad Green or myself? No, they have to go to school and find a job. They have to follow the linear path, the conformity path. They have to study a particular subject in a physical classroom at the time the teacher says they will otherwise we would have chaos. Interesting dilemma. Richard
