I'm new to the list, but am in the process of writing a dissertation proposal in education related to system dynamics. Specifically, I would like to study the effects that preservice teachers' social, political, economic, scientific and teaching beliefs/values, may have on their openess to systems thinking, as well as their evaluation of system dynamics as a productive approach to teaching, especially interdisciplinary team teaching.
So far I have not found much educational research reported in the literature that has examined system dynamics (or facets of it) in K-12, professional development or preservice teacher education settings or programs. Can anyone point me to some references that might be useful?
