With the horrific problems world markets are facing, economists and others are rethinking economic principles and models that had worked for many, not all.

More and more people in the west are becoming aware of the limits of the planet's resources and how to live so that others can live.

My question is this. If more and more local communities begin to purchase vegetables and fruits from local growers, what impact might that have on the global market?
