How Your Students Can Use System Dynamics to Save the World

  Public Policy can be improved by the use of system dynamics models. Drew Jones will share some of his experiences using system dynamics models and diagrams to improve public policy, on topics ranging from public health to global climate change. Drew was a student of Dana Meadows’ and co-received the “ASysT Prize” for “a significant accomplishment achieved through the application of Systems Thinking to a problem of US national significance.”

FishBanks Simulation Guide

  FishBanks is an online multi-user simulation to explore the management of a marine fishery. The simulation, created through MIT, is available for educators to use at no cost. Students experience the difficulties of managing a renewable resource, seeing how short-term goals can interfere with long-term success. Expanding Your Tool Kit: Developing Critical Thinking Skills with System Dynamics

  In this workshop, appropriate for K-12 teachers or administrators with little to no background in Systems Thinking, we will explore the use of Systems Thinking as an analytical tool to promote complex thinking, research skills, and communication.
