Subject: Carrying Capacity

Good day, everyone.

Just the other day, an administrator and I were talking about the curriculum change we are implementing at our small high school. He and I have been discussing Donella Meadows Thinking in Systems, and he wondered about the carrying capacity of our faculty: how much can they take on? what will we have to do to sustain their resources so that change can go on? In the face of clear limits (money and time), how can we be creative to keep the change moving forward?

Take a look at the latest post on my blog "It'sAllOneThing" (http://itsallonething.com/). There's a simple model there as a starting point for a conversation on carrying capacity. It's more a model of resource use than of carrying capacity, but it's the picture in my head of a relationship vital to this idea. A place to start.

I'll keep working on it. Perhaps you can help me.
